Youth Out Loud: A Conversation on Violence, Peace, and Change

Sponsor a youth today!!

Youth Day is an opportunity for our young people to explore how conflict resolution impacts their daily lives. This year, we are focusing on the youth violence epidemic in Chicago. Sponsored by the Education and Restorative Justice Sections, this year’s event is designed to engage Chicago youth and adults in the Chicago peace community in a day of dialogue around the meaning of conflict, peace, and change. We hope that this day will kickstart new partnerships and new ideas on how to change the current situation in Chicago and beyond.

Join us for our mini-plenary on Sept. 2nd, An Intergenerational Conversation on Violence, Peace, and Change.
This information-rich, experience-rich, and reflection-rich conversation will focus on how different age groups understand violence, react to violence, and confront violence. Participants will be asked to contribute their experience and insight to a conversation aimed at inspiring youth to take action to make positive change and build coalitions across perceived boundaries of age, race, and class.

You can sponsor a youth participant in this special day for only $25.
For youth participants, the day will include breakfast and lunch, a presentation by CeaseFire, materials to help commemorate the day, and a healing drums session to close the event. Participation in this day could make a difference in the future of a child and a community. To sponsor a youth, please see the conference registration form at www.acrnet.org or contact Cathi Eifert at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
